El Semillitas del Saber Early Care and Comprehensive Support Center It was born from the heart of faith and service of Karen Dayana Solís Chaves, inspired by the missionary example of her parents among the Cabécar indigenous population. Her desire was to provide children with educational, spiritual, and Christian love tools that would allow them to build a hopeful future. During the pandemic, this vision became a reality with the opening of a space where children received food, school support, and Bible teaching, becoming a refuge of faith and comprehensive care.
Today, the center serves 21 boys and girls In facilities provided by a local church, offering four meals a day, educational support, and spiritual formation. This work represents a testimony of the power of faith and God’s love toward children. However, the need for a dedicated space and adequate resources remains a challenge to continue growing and expanding the reach of this beautiful ministry.
Current Needs
Currently, the Semillitas del Saber Early Care Center (CAI) faces limitations in infrastructure and material resources. The borrowed space does not have the optimal conditions to care for more children.
Dedicated Space
Purchase a dedicated space, as the program is currently held in a borrowed location. There is a space available.
Cost: $200,000
Basic Furniture and Equipment
Basic equipment to create functional spaces for study, meetings, and community care.
Cost: $4,000
Children’s Dining Area
Set up and equip a space for preparing the meals provided to the children.
Cost: $7,000
Sponsor a Child
By sponsoring a child monthly, this will allow us to reach more children in the community who need comprehensive care and support.
Cost: $40 (monthly)

Karen Solís
Karen has a special love, given by God, for the native population of the highlands of Turrialba, Costa Rica, specifically the Cabécar group. She is an educator and provides comprehensive support to the children of the community every week.
